FAVORITE PASTIME: Hrmm. Well, reading, climbing, and the activities of a
newlywed bride. I can say no more. (Smiling, with chin down)

FAVORITE BOOK: Oh well, The Sonnets of William Shakespeare at the moment
and a daily reading in God's word, The Bible

THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: My husband's eyes on me, my husband' s
arms around me, Actually anypart of my husband near or on me. And standing
with him on the top yard, arms around me on a brilliant sunny day!

THE WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: When Horatio is upset with me or more
often with himself. Dear me!

FAVORITE SMELLS:Horatio's shaving soap, Horatio

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNING:
Well, my these are personal questions aren't they. Um well, you know, don't
you when you are a newlywed? And, feeling the warmth of his body next to
mine.

BATTLE: SCARY OR EXCITING: Scary, I think I shall fear and worry for my
husband's life! And his crew and friends

FAVORITE FOODS: I love vegetables which I have not been getting much of
here at sea!

CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA: I like both in moderation

STORMS, COOL OR SCARY: Storms are brilliant on shore! At sea a bit of a
hazard to one physically, inside and out!

FAVORITE DRINK: Red wine is nice! and Fresh water!

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE:

That there would be no war, that men at sea could come home at the end of
each day! Or at least each week, for heavens sake!

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE: I wish I
could always say the right thing and make the right decisions.

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE: Yes!

IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL: Right now it is half full and my
husband is filling it to overflowing!

WHAT'S IN YOUR ANXIETY CLOSET: Having to give up my life on Dolphin and not
being with my husband 24 hours a day!

WHAT'S YOUR LOFTIEST DREAM: For my husband to be all the Successful Captain
he wants to be, to have a house full of children, and when I am 75 to look
across at the man I love each morning sipping his coffee, wondering why at my
age I still want to climb trees!

WHAT'S YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE: My husband dying and never having my loftiest
dream come true.

That I never want what I have now to end

The Horatio Hornblower Quiestionnaire: All About....?

NAME: Leftenant Horatio Hornblower, of His Majesty's Frigate Indefatigable,
though I am detached from my ship at the moment

LIVING ARRANGEMENT: Currently, a cabin on the ship I am Captain of, The
Dolphin

FAVORITE PASTIME: I am juggling being a Captain and a newleywed husband I
love the sea and at the moment these two things in my life are in
conjunction! I am enjoying them both for the most part but there are worries.

FAVORITE BOOK: Odyseus

THE BEST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: Putting Dolphin through her paces with an
adept, though small, crew; holding my wife and seeing her smile. Pleasing my
Captain

THE WORST FEELING IN THE WORLD IS: Realizing I have failed; realizing I will
have to leave my wife alone in Gibraltar soon when she has just lost her
father and knows no one there. Forgetting to check the powder stores of a
captured fighting ship! Why did you have to remind me?!

FAVORITE SMELLS: The scent of my woman, the sea, coffee and in that order if
you please.

WHAT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK WHEN YOU WAKE IN THE MORNING: Hrmm. I need
a shave, no, actually, there is this beautiful creature's warm body next to
mine. It is a new experience for me and it is quite fascinating! As she is!

BATTLE: SCARY OR EXCITING: An opportunity to take control, to take charge,
to test my wits and intuitions, to sail the ship to my advantage, to defeat
the enemy, to survive, to please my Captain, to play to win! I guess that's
exciting! I do not let myself realize the fear until it is over and then
sometimes I feel sick at the chances I took.

FAVORITE FOODS: fried eggs over medium, fresh biscuits with fresh butter,
orange marmalade or black currant jam, fresh vegetables when I can get them

CHOCOLATE OR VANILLA: Dear me it has been such a long time since I have had
either I would take either!

STORMS, COOL OR SCARY: They are magnificent! But nothing to be taken
lightly! My stomach does not appreciate their beauty however!

FAVORITE DRINK: coffee, my captain's wine and port when he insists I have
some, fresh water with lime juice, grog with a bit of rum in it to warm me

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT THE WORLD, WHAT WOULD IT BE: My mother
would still be living and she could meet my wife, the other woman I love now.

IF YOU COULD CHANGE ANYTHING ABOUT YOURSELF, WHAT WOULD IT BE: I wish I were
a Captain and able to take prizes to support the woman I love

HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN LOVE: I believe I have answered this one. Yes!

IS THE GLASS HALF EMPTY OR HALF FULL: Half full and I raise it in a toast to
my wife, my mother and my father, and my Captain and fellow officers, and
crew of both ships

WHAT'S IN YOUR ANXIETY CLOSET: Failure, fear for the woman I love.

WHAT'S YOUR LOFTIEST DREAM: To support my wife without her money, To be all
my Captain thinks I will be, to not fail, to distinguish myself in this
service and make my father proud of me.

WHAT'S YOUR WORST NIGHTMARE: Failing my Captain, being maimed in battle,
rotting on shore on half pay, failing my wife, my wife getting on the Indy to
climb her masts! For heaven's sake, why does she have this obsession?

WHAT DO YOU WISH PEOPLE KNEW ABOUT YOU THAT YOU FEEL THEY DON'T:
I am a private person, so I would rather they not know anything about me
other than I do my duty to the best of my ability.
